So much to say about Lori and Eric’s beautiful Brentwood wedding at Cool Springs House. I’ll start with thanking Chesley Summar for asking me to second shoot with her. This year I set my schedule to have a good mix of weddings as both primary and secondary because there are different skill sets required to do each well, and I love second shooting because it affords me the opportunity to focus solely on finding unique angles and pushing myself creatively.
I also want to thank Lori and Eric. What an amazing couple. Lori was a beautiful bride with a smile that would light up any room. She also has a great eye for details, putting together all of the amazing details for the wedding (there were a lot of them as you’ll see). And Eric was probably one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met. A Texas transplant, his first language was Southern hospitality.
Lori’s dress and birdcage veil were beautiful. They also fit the feel of their classic Southern outdoor wedding to a T. Cool Springs House is located in Crockett Park just down the road from where I live actually. I’ve seen many weddings there as I go down to Crockett Park often to cycle and I’ve been looking forward to the day I could shoot a wedding there myself. It’s the perfect setting.
These two shots from the ceremony are some of my favorites from the day. I love how happy they look in the first one, and how Eric is looking at Lori in the second. That’s exactly what love looks like and why I do what I do.
